Seamlessly blending Sufi poetry and traditional folk songs from their native Iran with rich acoustic instrumentation and modern electronic rhythms, Niyaz creates a mesmerizing, distinctively 21st century global sound. Led by vocalist Azam Ali and multi-instrumentalist Loga Ramin Torkian on oud and kaman, the five-member band presents an experience that features whirling dervish dancer Miriam Peretz.
