Immerse yourself in the diverse cultures of Iran through dance.
Dance instruction and public performance has been illegal in Iran for over three decades. Music also suffered with about one decade of ban on musical institutions in the 1980s. Bringing authentic classical and folk dances to you is a rare opportunity and a look at the diverse cultures and customs of Iranians across the country.
We are excited to have Sayeh Ensemble (گروه سایه) (sayehensemble.com) play the music for all of our classical dances. Furthermore, the unique opportunity is right here for you to also watch the amazing sufi style and Iranian dancer from Israel, Miriam Peretz perform.
Space is limited. Buy your tickets early! Leave room to arrive, park, and mingle before the show. Doors open 30 min before the program begins and close at the start of the program. You can only enter during intermission (there will be 2 intermissions). Please plan accordingly.
This program will be professionally photographed and videotaped for those interested in purchasing a DVD afterward.
