The traditional Iranian society has gradually changed under the forces of modernization during the past eight decades. Consequently, Iran has became a semi-industrial or simply a developing country. Undoubtedly, such changes have affected not only the Iranian's way of life but also their values and behavior. In order to comprehend the process and the consequences of such changes, we need to examine the following questions:
1)What were the main characteristics of the traditional Iranian society?
2)What were the main forces of modernization and how they affected the traditional Iranian society?
3)What are the consequences of such changes?
