We warmly welcome residents of Bloomington and the surrounding area to join us for a night of folk-style dancing in celebration of Nowruz at Serendipity Martini Bar on the evening of Wednesday, March 22! Nowruz, a celebration of the vernal equinox also known as the Persian New Year, is celebrated all across Eurasia. Accordingly, we will dance to music from Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan, the Central Asian ‘stans, Chinese Central Asia, and more!
Thanks to the very generous sponsorship of Sahara Mart, there is no cover. Don’t forget your IDs, though—we will check them for this 18-and-up event. There will be a cash bar, which will include a number of non-alcoholic beverages in addition to the standard bar offerings.
