Ossyan (Rebellion), Persian Classical Concert
Classical Persian musice by NAMÂD ENSEMBLE breathes new life into the works of rebel Iranian poets, Forough Farrokhzad and Siavosh Kasrael. The title of the performance and accompanying CD, Ossyan, is based on one of Farrokhzad's most legendary poems, exclaiming: "In a silenced land, rebellion is the voice of voiceless people. Its holler reverberates through the ups and downs of this silent land, only to enlighten the heart with the sound of love!"
