Join us for an evening of dance and animation! Yes maybe these two are not directly related, but they are both art forms that many Persian female artists have used to express themselves.
This event include a lecture my Mansoureh Sabetzadeh, who has developed the first Iranian dance Encyclopedia on different traditional dance form in Iran followed by a beautiful dance performance!
The second part of the program is a series of animations that have been made by young artists in Iran.
Mansoureh Sabetzadeh holds a PhD in Persian Language and Literature from the Islamic Azad university (Research and Science branch) in Tehran, Iran.
A faculty member and assistant professor at Islamic Azad University, South Tehran branch (1993-Present) and as the director of center of Iranian Musicology, she have also coordinated related research programs between 2001 to 2005 .
From 1993 to 2010 she taught Eastern music , Traditional and Folk Iranian music in Tehran universities such as Honar, Soureh and Azad university in Iran.
Sabetzadeh is pioneer in pertinent research development, collection and recording Iranian music’s dances and traditional music of Tajikistan.
She also authored the first Iranian dances Encyclopedia and published books, articles, papers and CDs on Persian literature and folk music as well as dance. She is also a director, peer reviewer, dancer and teacher with over 30 years of performing and creative experience in staging dance and music.
This event is FREE and open to everyone (Donations are welcome)
