More about our Speaker of April Meeting:
Fariba Bogzaran, Ph.D. Scientist/Artist founded and directed the Dream Studies Certificate Program at JFK University where she taught for over twenty years. She is one of the pioneers in the field of dream studies and in the late 80’s, she was among the Lucidity research team at Stanford University Laboratory investigating the science and phenomena of lucid dreaming. She conducted the first scientific research on transpersonal experiences in lucid dreaming (1989) and continued her exploration in art-base research. With the surrealist painter Gordon Onslow Ford, she co-founded the non-profit Lucid Art Foundation and established an artist residency program. Among her publications are two major academic co-authored books: Extraordinary Dreams and how to work with them (State University of New York Press, 2002) and Integral Dreaming: A holistic approach to dreams (SUNY, 2012). She is currently an adjunct professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and Director of the Lucid Art Foundation.
