Sizdeh Bedar is a tradition of gathering family and friends to spend a full day of picnicing, socializing, and dancing outdoors, traditionally on the 13th/last day of Norooz celebrations. A ritual performed at the end of the picnic day is to throw away the Sabzeh from the Norooz Haftsin table. The sabzeh is supposed to have collected all the sickness, pain and ill fate hiding in the path of the coming year.
