6th Annual Austin Nowruz Festival
This year we will feature the bands:
4:30-5:30 UT Middle Eastern Ensemble Bereket with a special Iranian music segment;
5:30-6 Ravaan Persian Dance Company
6:30-7:30 The Persian-Spanish 10-piece band Ojalá featuring as guest appearance the Armenian maestro of Santir (The Armenian hammered dulcimer) Sarkis Petrosyan
8-9 The award-winning world music group Atash
along with a Haft-Seen table, and a special Nowruz menu made for this occasion including sabzi-polo ba maahi (herb rice with fish), and many side dishes from Iran, Armenia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and more. This is a Free event (except for food). Bring your family and friends and let's celebrate Nowruz AUstin-style!
