Amir Shahab Razavian’s quietly moving drama presents Dr. Parsa, a divorced surgeon who returns to Iran after many years abroad. He rediscovers the vastly changed country through the eyes of a young driver and through his friendship with an elderly musician with whom he takes a trip to his earthquake-ravaged hometown. His encounters help him reconcile his past and find a path toward the future.
(Iran/Germany/Canada, 2007, 100 minutes.)
In Persian and German with subtitles.
The 11th annual festival of films from Iran would not be possible without the assistance of Iranian cinema specialist Reza Sohrabi, who generously donated his time and expertise to this program.
