Mohsen Namjoo and Sahaand Sahebdivani give concert about music and peace with the Dutch Wind Ensemble
On Saturday 19 September Podium Mozaïek presents a unique concert about music and peace. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Podium Mozaïek, our home company the Dutch Wind Ensemble and welcome guests Mohsen Namjoo, Sahand Sahebdivani and Zena Edwards join hands.
The work of Iranian protest singer Mohsen Namjoo, by the New York Times called the 'Iranian Bob Dylan', is characterized by irony and ambiguity both in his choice of words as in his compositions. In his songs, to the sounds of the blues and the traditional Persian music, he mixes classical Persian poetry with contemporary poetry in own texts.
Prior to the concert, at 8 PM, there will be given an introduction by Mr Neil van der Linden
