This rare concert of Persian classical music will feature nine of the finest U.S.-based Persian musicians, including Yahya Golestan (tar), Babak Barmar (tar), Javad Ashrafi (setar), Mahmoud Tehrani (tombak), Dariush Saghafi (santur), Ghassem Parva (daf), Arezou Daneshvar (vocal), Habib Shams (vocal and santur), and Sholeh Elhami (vocal).
The program will include a wide range of instrumental pieces and elegant sung classical poetry, including: Dastgah Segah -- Dastgah Mahoor -- Dastgah Shoor -- Dastgah Chahargah -- Avaz Shooshtari Dastgah Homayoun -- Delneshin and Tasnif Bahar-e Delneshin in Avaz Esfehan, Dastgah Homayoun.
The campus is located just a few miles south of Akron, Ohio, just off Interstate 77.
