Story & Song by Kira Van Deusen Past

Sunday, Nov 24, 2013 - North Vancouver, BC, Canada

Kira Van Deusen Storyteller and Cellist
Kira Van Deusen is a professional storyteller and cellist. For more than twenty years she has delighted listeners with adventures in worlds we do not see with the eye, accompanied by her evocative cello and vocal music.
From 1992-2005 she traveled frequently in Siberia recording and later telling tales from indigenous cultures. She became fascinated by the revival of shamanism going on in those years, and has written several books about her travels, shamanism and storytelling. For the last few years she has immersed herself in Persian culture. She visited Iran last spring, is studying Farsi and learning stories, all with the help of Persian friends here in Vancouver.
On November 24 she will tell several stories in Farsi and English, and play her cello.
