Mehregan Festival Past

Saturday, Sept 27, 2014 ,
10:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- SYDNEY NSW 2112, Australia

For the first time in Australia, Ryde Persian School and World Fusion Music are proud to present Mehregan Festival.
Mehregan: One of the two most ancient Persian festivals known, dating back at least as far as the earliest Aryans. The word "Mehr" (in Mehregan) in the Persian
language means kindness. Mehr represents knowledge, love, light and friendship.
Mehregan is a Persian festival celebrated in honor of Mithra, the divinity of
covenant, and hence of interpersonal relationships such as friendship, affection and
love.
Mehregan Festival is a cultural and fundraising event for the Ryde Persian School,
and with your help and support, we hope to not only put on an entertaining
family event, but to also spread peace and love through this beautiful celebration, to all who partake.
