BREAKING NEW GROUND AND CROSSING BORDERS, ABJEEZ RETURNS
New full length album, the LOVE REBELS come to conquer hearts
Abjeez has triumphantly returned to the world stage with a current tour in Sweden and the upcoming “Love Rebels” U.S. Tour to support their latest work titled “Paa Sho”.

The sisters kicked off the tour with a dynamic performance on March 14th at the outdoor 2017 Eldfesten festival in Stockholm broadcast live on Swedish television. Debuting two new songs at the festival, including the single “Crossing Borders” and performing at Stora Teatern (national theater) in Gothenburg on March 22nd, Abjeez prepare for a final show in Stockholm at Kägelbanan-Södrateatern on April 28th.

It’s been nearly eight years since delivering their last full length album Perfectly Displaced, but sisters Safoura and Melody Safavi who form the Persian band Abjeez have been anything but dormant during this time off from studio work.

On the contrary, their latest production and single “Crossing Borders” is a testament of their unwavering dedication to their music, which oozes with pulsating reggae rhythms as well as displaying a mature and refreshing Abjeez sound.

Abjeez’ loyal fan base have waited excitedly for the much anticipated album which comes at a crossroads in the music industry and in the political sphere. Lyricist and singer Melody has penned a defiant stance on the immigrant experience and pays tribute to the art of words famously etched in the culture of her native land of Iran.

With the recent firestorm over the 2017 immigration ban in the U.S.A. and the controversy it has aroused, Abjeez decided to do an early release of their first single to bring awareness to the state of so many innocent individuals and their families affected by the ban.
A much-anticipated U.S. tour will cover 6 cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington D.C., Boston, and New York City.
If their last sold-out performance in New York City’s Le Poisson Rouge is a sign of things to come, then get ready for an exciting time in the coming months for the music world with Abjeez!!!
