Shahrzad Khorsandi: Persian Dance Workshop & Book-signing Past

Saturday, Feb 20, 2016 ,
11:00 AM
- Santa Barbara, CA, United States

BellyDance Land is thrilled to bring Shahrzad to Santa Barbara to teach us a Persian dance workshop! Shahrzad's approach to Persian dance combines her background in Persian culture, poetry and art with her education and experience in the contemporary art and science of dance. She will also provide a book-signing of her recently released "The Art of Persian Dance" book!

The workshop will focus on Persian aesthetics/motifs in the body position and movement by working on: the shape of the hands, movement of the wrists, and body line. Coordination of rhythmic foot patterns and graceful arm movement with Persian music, and dynamic expression will be emphasized.
