Amy Malek is a sociocultural anthropologist and visiting lecturer at Scripps College. She earned her Ph.D. in Anthropology at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2015 and holds an M.A. in Near Eastern Studies from New York University. Her primary research interests include migration, cultural policy, and diaspora, with a particular focus on Iranian communities in North America and Europe.
