The San Francisco Symphony Presents American Orchestras
Commissioned in 2005 for the 40th anniversary of the Philadelphia Orchestra’s summer home in Saratoga, New York, Iranian composer Behzad Ranjbaran's Saratoga is a work filled with wonderful lush melodies that transports the listener to ancient Persia while paying homage to the sounds of European symphonic tradition.
