Made by Jamal Hatami, Red Lacquer (لاک قرمز) is the story of the young generation of Iran, facing the challenges of modern life and traditional families. Akram, a girl of 16 years of age, decides to maintain her family’s unity. Along the way, she turns into a mature woman.

Red Lacquer was nominated for the Best Picture and the Best Director from the Fajr Film Festival.
