The program consists of selections of short films made by young Iranian artists working outside of Iran.

Program 1:

Needle, 21min (dir. Anahita Ghazvinzadeh) the winner of Cannes Film Festival best student short.
Young Lilly is going to get her ears pierced. A quarrel between her parents overwhelms the situation and directs it differently.

Plastic Bag, 18min (dir. Ramin Bahrani) Venice, NY, and Telluride Film Festival.
A plastic bag, thrown out in the trash, attempts to find his way back to his owner and along the way discovers the world.

Inheritance, 27min (dir. Aggie Ebrahimi Bazaz)
One family's poetic journey to cohere the detritus of divorce and revolution into an Iranian
American identity.
