Winter Film Awards is proud to shine a spotlight on three amazing indie films from Iran at our 5th Annual WINTER FILM AWARDS Independent Film Festival.
The short film IMPRESSION-XPS160 (Directed by Tiyam Yabandeh) shows a photographer after the apocalypse attempting to connect with his wife. Feature film OBLIVION SEASON (Directed by Abbas Rafei) shows a woman attempt to overcome a dogmatic society that won't let her forget her past. The beautiful and heartbreaking MY STOLEN REVOLUTION (Directed by Nahid Persson Sarvestani) shares the stories of 5 female former political prisoners.
This year's Indie Film Fest runs Feb 18-26 in New York City with a jam-packed schedule of screenings, discussion panels, networking events and after-parties. 86 films by emerging filmmakers from 26 countries — Awesome discussion Panels — Daily screenings of fantastic films and parties every night! Among the 86 Official Selections to be screened at Cinema Village in the heart of Greenwich Village (22 East 12th Street, New York, NY 10003), the WFA team is proud to showcase an exciting slate of eight films from Asia, providing a fascinating overview of the best of the Region’s indie film community.
