Jung proposes that “everything of which we are conscious is an image, and that image is the psyche.” In the process of exploring the affects which underlie the images of our dreams, visions, and active imaginations, our personal myth can become visible and known, leading to a deeper understanding of the purpose and meaning of life. Drawing from personal experience as well as clinical work, we will portray the healing effect of translating emotions into images, which can in turn transform our consciousness.
Course Objectives:
* Describe how images from the unconscious can reflect an individual’s affective state;
* Demonstrate the healing potential in archetypal imagery arising from personal experience;
* Describe how feeling and thinking images pave the way to unconscious revelations.
