This workshop will encourage participants to use personal experience in writing fiction or memoir. Have you lived through an experience that you feel is worth telling via fiction or in a memoir? This workshop will provide the opportunity to take lived experience and produce memoir or fiction from it. (Participants are free to write fiction, not based on personal experience, if they prefer). The important aspects of narrative craft that apply to both fiction and memoir will be focused on, including description, narration, dialogue, characterization, point of view, theme, and the use of detail.
