The legendary Iranian kamanche-player Kayhan Kalhor appears in concert with the singer Aynur Dogan, a woman who has done groundbreaking work on behalf of Kurdish music. They are joined by the Azerbaijani jazz pianist Salman Gambarov and the tanbur-player Cemîl Qoçgirî, who is rooted in the Alevi tradition. These old musical traditions have much in common.
