Persian and Central Asian Weekend of Dance Past

July 9-10, 2016 ,
9:30 AM
- Bristol, United Kingdom

Persian dancers Helia Bandeh and Medea Mahdavi from Iran, Robyn Friend from Los Angeles, and Vashti from the UK will be running an amazing weekend of workshops and a performance on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 July in my studio in central Bristol. The teaching will focus on dances from Iran and Central Asia.

All four teachers have travelled and performed extensively throughout the Middle East, Europe and the US. They each bring their own unique dance style and experience of different aspects of Persian and Central Asian dance.

The weekend will run from 11.00 on Saturday with workshops during the day, and performances by the teachers and participants in the evening. There will also be discussions on Persian dance.

This is an amazing opportunity to learn from leading exponents of dances from these regions in a luxurious and intimate studio with wooden floor, mirrors and Persian carpets.
